How Do I Find Someone's Email Address

Finding someone's email address is something we all need weekly. Whether it's for building links in SEO, planning events, promoting your latest blog post, finding prospects for selling or reaching out to a VIP.

There are many ways to find someones email address, but in an effort to save everyone's time, I directed them to find someone's email address (highest likelihood / shortest time to find a message). Let's make finding a free email address easy here!

LinkedIn + FindThatLead

Almost everyone nowadays has a LinkedIn account, and some great email lookup tools blossomed like FindThatLead. Additionally, you can link to the person you want to target on LinkedIn and often get the email address from their LinkedIn profile (top right of their profile).

You can also access your FindThatLead account and directly check all this by domain, occupation, place or combination.

That means you're on LinkedIn with that guy. If you're not, use this form first!

Google Search 

Let's start with the most efficient and quickest way to find email addresses by name: Google Advanced Operator Search.

Here are some ways to do it:"* @company.com" "First Name" "Last Name""* @company.com" "Full Name" "Email" To use those, just copy and paste them into Google and replace "company.com" with the company domain of the person and "First Name," "Last Name" or "Full Name" with the real one.

Twitter 

Influential people often tweete. And if you're lucky, their email address was sometimes asked as a conclusion to a tweet conversation and given away. Check it out quickly!

 Private or business page to seek email addresses

 Didn't find the person's email address? Time for stalking!

1. The prospect has a personal website If so, that's good news for you! The person was given an email address when she purchased her domain name.

2. In that case, visit the company's website and search for a "team" or "contact" page. Most of the time, you'll find that person's email in there (if you haven't already searched Google!).

3. The prospect guest-blogs or writes on other websites Then he'll most likely have a "writer profile" with his image, name, personal website and sometimes (drum roll) email address at the top or bottom of his posts!

Generate Possible Email Addresses and Test them with Rapportive

 As a last resort (this one is longer), you can use two resources that work together to find someone's email address: a google drive spreadsheet that will give you multiple possible variants of someone's email address and a chrome extension named Rapportive.

Instead, here's how it works: enter the first & last names of the person you're trying to reach, and the company's domain name. Approximately 50 potential email addresses from which to guess.

Open Gmail with Rapportive (Chrome extension) to find out which address is the real one: just copy-paste the resulting email addresses into the "from:" field and hover one by one before Rapportive lights up and shows you social profiles linked to this email address (and thus verify the email address)!
